Work With The End In Mind

I see many very successful business people who are unsuccessful in life goals.

The reason I am writing this article is because of several mentors I had when starting out and all said work with the end in mind but enjoy the journey.

This bit of advice I received was a classic case of selective hearing and I dismissed this for many years because all I wanted to hear was the parts on how to make money, how to become successful and how can I become an entrepreneur.

Work with the End in Mind means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of your desired direction and destination. If you begin something and know the end goal you have a clear focus to move towards.

Luckily for myself, I have networked a lot and now fully understand this meaning now.

I have seen some multi-millionaire friends become depressed because their whole life they just thought once they had an 8 figure bank balance everything would be happy.

I have close friends who divorced because all the attention went into his business and he neglected his wife and kids.

I have seen lads become overweight and very unhealthy because all their attention and time was taken by building the bank balance.

But the bank balance does not make you happy – yes it can allow you to buy nice things and certainly helps to a better lifestyle but creating a balanced life is certainly the way forward.

I used to become totally focused on rank and bank SEO strategies with no clear focus on my health, wellbeing or goals.

In this guide, I run through the focus on beginning each task with a clear goal in mind to work towards. This can include work, gym, eating habits or any day to day activities you carry out.

What does it mean to begin with the end in mind?

The meaning of beginning with the end in mind is to start with a clear understanding of your end destination.

It means to know where you’re going so that you better understand where you are now.

It allows you to take the steps you need to take so that you are always going in the right direction.

Begin with the End in Mind means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of your desired direction and destination.

You need to continue being proactive in your mind to make things happen. The best way to do this is to develop a Personal Mission Statement.

Map Out Your Own Life

Only you can map out your perfect life. You will get a lot of misfortune along the way but don’t allow this to stop your vision.

We all are born, eat, sleep, breathe and die so deal with it.

If family members or loved ones have a shorter lifespan than you would have liked then so have millions of others also.

It is inevitably going to happen to us all so just make sure you are living your perfect life today.

Have a life of purpose-driven living in every area of life, not just financial abundance but an abundant life.

I believe that a life lived by sacrifice is a life not worth living.

You get to be the artist of your life by intentionally creating it every single day.

We are all on a constant journey of expansion, evolving, upgrading, learning every single day.

Break Through From the Inside

The only person holding you back from mapping out your own life is yourself.

There’s an old saying that goes like this – “If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends. If broken by an inside force, life begins. Great things always begin from the inside.” This is a classic phrase that goes well with my take action article in saying you need to start taking serious action today.

It all starts with “listening to that inner voice” and not giving up on what you want out of life.

Do you feel you are on the verge of breaking through, but just need that extra strength. Will let me tell you now that extra strength is to believe in yourself and take massive action. This is the extra strength you need to break through from the inside.

Create Personal Mission Statement

One of the best ways to create your goals is to develop a Personal Mission Statement.

When you clearly define a Personal Mission Statement you create a corporate statement for the task you’re currently working on.

A Personal Mission Statement makes a plan for success that you’re trying to achieve. It reaffirms who you are and makes you the leader of your own life. It puts your goals in focus to secure the future you envision and moves your ideas into the real world to create your own destiny.

When you follow a Personal Mission Statement you make a conscious effort in the real world to create your own destiny.

If you begin with the end in mind you’ve already done most of the hard work and defined your purpose.

Life Is For Living

I am a huge advocate that there is no point in being the richest man in the graveyard.

Although creating huge goals and having large ambitions is great for your mental health to work towards a target you certainly need to enjoy the journey.

Life is for living it’s easy to think the goal is everything. But you need to ask yourself are you chasing money or happiness?

The end goal is the byproduct because it’s not even about the goal – It’s about enjoying the journey in attempting to achieve your goal.

Studying the Neuroscience of Happiness helps you be grateful for what you currently have and be proud of where you have come.

Manage Your Life Vs Business

Having a successful business does not mean you have a successful life. Here are life lessons I have learned along the way since being a digital nomad.

When setting big goals you can become obsessed with the goal and live to work.

Creating a work-life balance or integrating a work-life integration strategy is important to utilise your time efficiently.

All people lack time because we need to try and balance work, family, friends, healthy eating and sleeping well.

Creating the work life integration process balances time with your personal life and work life.

Mindset To Work Towards Your Goal

The ability to envision in your mind what you cannot at present see with your eyes is the entrepreneurial mindset you need.

Your mind is our greatest asset and imagination to reach your big goals is the core principle to success.

The Law of attraction is a concept which says whatever you think or imagine, you attract. It is based on the principle that all things are created twice.

  1. A mental (first) creation
  2. A physical (second) creation

If you can mentally create a blueprint of what you want to achieve then it gives you the physical steps to begin from the outset.

The physical creation follows the mental and making a conscious effort to visualize who you are and what you want in life is where everything begins.

If you do not begin with the end in mind you empower other people and circumstances to shape you and your life by default.

Connecting your own unique targets and then defining the steps to achieve this helps express yourself and fulfil lifetime ambitions.
